ReGENERATE

Regenerative Agricultural Practices for Environmental Rejuvenation
and Sustainable Ecosystems on European Farms

About ReGENERATE

Regenerative agriculture is becoming increasingly important as Europe faces urgent environmental and socio-economic challenges. Conventional farming methods have led to soil degradation, biodiversity loss, and increased greenhouse gas emissions, threatening both ecosystems and food security. At the same time, farmers are under pressure to adapt to the impacts of climate change, including prolonged droughts, extreme weather, and declining soil fertility.

The ReGENERATE project is a European initiative dedicated to showing alternatives to conventional farming. It promotes and develops regenerative agriculture as a sustainable solution for the future of farming. The project focuses on providing farmers across Europe with practical knowledge, tools, and inspiration to transition toward more environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Regenerative agriculture is an innovative approach that can improve soil health, enhances biodiversity, and restores ecosystem functions such as carbon sequestration. It draws on methods from agroecology, agroforestry, ecological restoration, and low-input farming to support long-term sustainability.

We’re collecting real-life examples, expert insights, and hands-on tools to help you start your regenerative journey.

Our Aim

In the long term, ReGENERATE aims to strengthen the resilience of European agriculture, protect natural resources, and improve the economic and environmental sustainability of rural communities. Its outcomes will benefit individuals and institutions alike, offering a practical roadmap for regenerative change at both local and national levels. ReGENERATE bridges the gap between theory and practice, not only informing but also empowering farmers to take action.
